Our members comprise mortgage managers, brokers, bank lenders, mortgage insurers, valuers, real estate agents, software providers, financial planners and legal experts.

The membership application process is stringent with requisites of experience, education, industry sponsorship and credibility checks.

There are 3 membership categories namely Full Members, Accredited Mortgage Consultants and Associate membership. The AMC designation is a points based professional accreditation programme unique to MFAS and is recognized and looked for by lenders.

Our Core Activities

Education

MFAS is a leader in providing industry specific education and training to develop an industry of professionals.

Currently in Singapore, MFAS has appointed Global Creatif Financial Pte Ltd as the official education provider for the Accredited Mortgage Consultant (AMC) Course.

As the mortgage industry in Singapore is relatively young, the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) has recognized us by virtue of affiliation. As such all education courses, seminars and events organized by MFAA will also be offered to MFAS members at MFAA members' price.

Legal and Compliance

The MFAS keeps abreast of existing and proposed legislation and regulations affecting the mortgage industry.

Members of MFAS must comply to the industry's Code of Ethics.

A copy of the Code of Ethics will be communicated to our members during the AMC Accreditation

Information & Consumer Relations

The MFAS keeps its members abreast of industry issues through regular communications via our regular newsletters 'The Mortgage Times'

The MFAS consumer marketing campaign is two-fold. It educates consumers to seek a MFAS member when looking for assistance to find a home loan, and provide information to consumers about the mortgage process to equip them with knowledge when they seek housing finance.

Events

Members of MFAS organize regular educational and social events to foster relationships with their peers and share information, knowledge and experience.
